March  22nd, 2025

“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  I have decided that the UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,038 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • Well, how did the eyes Ides of March treat you this year? We seem to scrape by without too many broken bones or stitches. Life is good..
    • living with Amazon was interesting for a week. It’s amazing how many tentacles it has into our world gives me something to think about maybe changing my habit so I buy things differently more often instead of just bowing to our God of Convenience. Perhaps we should rotate our boycott – one week Amazon, one Week Social Media, one week Walmart, etc. I suspect we would all spend less overall. What do you think?
    • You can find out all about today’s history here

This week’s Website Update:

    • This week I have refrained from crating more recipes. I did Experiment with a new chicken marinade that is supposed to increase the heat absorbed within the chicken flesh. I’m still testing but stand by.
    • The Home Page quote this week is fromFord Perfect: ” Drink up the world’s about to end.”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • My Hobby glacier races downhill as I continue to make my grow steps towards progress in terms of my Stainglass project. Not my best status report.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • we have been enjoying a wonderful batch of rainfall. Not that wimpy little Misty stuff. This is real serious pound the roof stuff. Everything is so green!

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

This  week we will explore the great music we can find under the letter “C”.  if you haven’t figured it out yet, this stuff is all random for me. I am grateful for all the music i have enjoyed and had the opportunity to share with you.

    • Chris Issaak Wicked Game   This  song was a huge hit for Chris to be honest. I’m not sure if he had any others the iconic guitar riffs that are played on the song by.  James Calvin Wilse. I’m pretty sure that Chris Knott would not have had the hit he had without that guitar work. Although his vocals remind me a lot of our old friend, Roy Orbison. This was released in 1989  on his, “Heart Shaped World” album.
    • Christopher Cross Sailing    Many people found this song to be San sweet if you will, but I loved everything about it. Christopher plays both the acoustic electric guitar parts.  if you listen carefully, you can see what an important part. The baseline plays in this wonderful song.  I can close my eyes and see exactly what he’s saying about. Perhaps if you have done that if you actually been on a sailboat under sale it’s easier.. This was released on his self=titled album in 1979.
    • Clint Eastwood  —End Title  I’m not sure how many people actually know that Clint Eastwood is a fair to Midland piano player as far as I know this is the only recording of his work on the piano but I think it’s a beautiful song. It was released in 2008 on, “Changeling (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)”.
    • Coldplay — A sky full of stars — I remember the first time I heard Coldplay it was awesome! The combination of sounds and meaning in the lyrics just overwhelmed me. This one is from their, “Ghost Stories”.
    • Coldplay  — Paradise  This song is all about the alternative to looking back and focusing on all the imperial pain and history and instead, “ Looking forward to the future and all of its possibilities..”. The wisest of us do not tty to relive the past good or bad. Nor do they focus on a future yet to be The wisest once focus on maximizing the hear and now. I understand this but cannot resist looking out towards that paradise of possibilities every tomorrow we get offers. This song is for the wise optimists  out there like me. I saw a video of Coldplay playing this song to a huge stadium in Scandinavia somewhere. But I think they were well over 70,000 people in the stadium and they were singing the course with the band in perfect Harmony. It may break out in goosebumps everywhere I remember the first time that happened for me. It was a Grateful Dead concert and everybody knew the words I think that’s the definition of joyful noise. OK there you go.This song comes from their, “Mylo Xyloto” album  released in 2011
    • Coldplay —   speed of sound    I’m pretty sure this is the first song  that I ever heard from Coldplay and as I mentioned above, it just blew me away. It was so refreshing and full of musical story and depth the feeling I listen to it over and over again. It’s like an addiction for a while. I hope you like it too.. This is from their, “  X & Y” released in 205.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
