“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  I have decided that the UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been 984 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week I learned some stuff:

    • I am still progressing on the waterfall replacement project. I am about 50 percent done with the demo of the old waterfall.
    • I worked with my hosting service to overcome the new functionality that prohibited me from adding artist and album information to our UJT Radio selections. I am still working on the UJT Update Archive.
    • You can find out all about today’s history here.

This week’s Website Update:  I

    • This week, I came up with a new Bang-Bang Chicken Skewers dish. Everyone here thought it was very tasty.
    • This week, the Home Page will quote Former President Jimmy Carter, who celebrated his 100th birthday this month,“We have become not a melting pot, but a beautiful mosaic  – Different people – different beliefs  – different yearnings – different apes – different dreams. ”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • I came up with a new excuse again this week! I am tearing down my old waterfall 🙂

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • Every day, for at least part of the day, you would find me out on the pile of cement and rocks that used to be my old crappy waterfall. At several points, I thought it was going to kill me but I kept going. All the stones and cement pieces are out, and  I am reforming the dirt this weekend to the new waterfall design. I will have all the materials I will need (except maybe for some more cock).Keep your fingers crossed 🙂

Music Update:

I had the week’s musical theme picked out and lined up when my younger brother, Mike sent me a new cut from Mark Knopfler’s new album, “Wag the Dog. I will share more next week. This week is all about nonsense songs. I hope the selection makes you smile.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

    • The Beatles — Ob -La – Di – Ola – Da —  This one was from their 1968 release referred to as, “The White Album”. Paul wrote it mostly for his Nigerian friend. I always loved the jaunty beat and silliness. I always thought that the boys had a lot of fun with this one.
    • America  A Horse with No Name — This song  was on their 1971 release. “America”.  It was another one of those generation defining songs – we like and our parents don’t! 🙂
    • Paul Simon — You Can Call Me Al — This has always been one of my favorite nonsense songs. It seemed perfectly placed when I first heard it. The video with Chevy Chase was also pretty cool. This comes from one of Paul’s most creative albums, “Graceland” which was released in 1986.
    • The Police —  De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da— sting wrote this one as a test to prove that song simplicity is more attractive to people than complexity. This is from their, “ Zenyatta Mondatta” released in 1980.
    • Manfred Man —Do-Wah-Ditty — This song was a favorite of mine. I remember walking home from a dance and singing it in the alley where the echo made it even cooler. It was released as a single in 1964.
    • Phil Collins —Sussudio —Another nonsense song that I just loved. It was a perfect song for its time.”The Miami Vice” Years! It was released in 1985 on “No Jacket Required”.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
