“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine. I have decided that the UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities. It has been 595 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.
This week I learned some stuff:
-
- I guess I should explain. Every week I try to do a little more each day on these UJT Updates. But sometimes I have to cram it all in in one evening. g to be published on Thursday morning. I typically date everything in the update to Thursday’s date but last week I got stuck on Wednesday. Back on track this week.
- We had another plumbing issue upstairs in the master bath and it rained in our kitchen a bit. The insurance company is going to love me!
- I was placing a folding chair and somehow managed to tear my rotator cuff, or so they say .. hurt like Bejesus! But I make the sling look good! Physical therapy here I come.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:
-
- I found that quote from Jimmy Buffett and just had a “Hell Yeah!” moment. My life has been a magical journey with frightening parts mixed in it. I hope I have had the grace to learn from the scary parts and appreciate the joys along the way. I never expected to live this long and that is more than a little scary in itself. I keep discovering more reasons to smile than cry. I think that is about the best you can do.
Music Update:
Here is a new batch of music for you to try out.
This week’s UJT Radio Program:
-
-
-
- James Taylor – Jump Up Behind Me — This is such a cool tune. I love the drums and piccolo. Only JT could weave a song that works with a piccolo. This one is from his 1997 release, “Hourglass”.
- The Thorns –Think It Over – Sweet harmonies! This one is a deep cut from their first album released in 2003.
- The Who — Magic Bus — This one is one of those anthem songs from the late 60’s and 70s. I never have been able to not listen to this full volume. Pete Townsend is just a giant. This one is from their 1970 release, “The Who Live at Leeds”.
- Jimmy Buffett – The Pascagoula Run – Been a while and it still makes me smile …. A lot of Jimmy’s music made me smile. This one is from the 1989 release, “Off to See the Lizard.”
- Sting — Brand New Day — This is a sweet song that always makes me remember one of my most colossal failures. Sting won the Beast Male Vocals Grammy for this one. But it is a great song! This is the title song for his 1999 release.
- Grateful Dead – Scarlet Begonias – I found out that both John Mayer and Bob Wier are celebrating their shared birthday this week. Happy Birthday. Boys! This is a great tune from their “From the Mars Hotel” released in 1974.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
