“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine. I have decided that the UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice in the end of hostilities. It has been 1.558* days since Russia invaded Ukraine. (* Some how my calculations got way skewed over the past couple of publications of the UGT please accept my apology and according to Google it’s been 1558 days. ) OK
Suspect by now that you all realize that my UGT production has extended beyond a couple hour activity once a week to a multi day activity once a quarter so. From the start of this particular one, it took me like four or five days to get the music finished up and the updates done on the website, so please forgive the time lag or time warp cause you might see i.
53 years ago tomorrow to be a nice stood before the ugliest human being I’ve ever seen and a municipal building that did not have air conditioning. My best man was stealing candy kisses off the guy’s desk and slipping them to Tippy while he lectured us about being late and then going through his spiel about being the marriage commissioner and all that stuff. When it came time from us to say our “I do” s. Tippy’s response was garbled by the chocolate she had stuffed in her mouth in our best men laugh so hard to drop the rings. The man’s ceremony was one long word fairly breathing in between phrases. I’ve always thought it was a perfect beginning to an imperfect relationship that I’ve enjoyed more than I deserve. Thank you for all the great years Tip!
Another Great thing about tomorrow is our grandson. Asa is visiting us from Texas so he’ll be able to participate in our celebration. We are all looking forward to his arrival.
Couple weeks ago I came up with a recipe for my own version of what is known as, “A Dirty Nartini”. Of course I had to test it, and an interest of science the results of the testing were captured and spread about the planet on that semi reliable network called Facebook. Anyway, it’s a damn good Martin and I recommend it to anyone.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:
-
- I have pretty much live my life, searching for things to be grateful for. Fortunately for me, it’s never been a very difficult search. I was born in America in the 50s from Caucasian parents. That’s a hell of a lucky way to start. We weren’t wealthy I guess for the most part. We were kind of poor, but we had what we needed and we had a lot of love. We grew up in a magical place. But Lady has been hard to find things to be grateful for. Watching the degradation of our citizenry and the loss of our lifestyle in favor of very few people has been tough to be happy about, but I didn’t find one thing to be grateful to our current regime about. – We have learned how not to do it. We have learned that our system is based on based on trust that we’re simply not worthy of anymore we have to build in more checks and balances to enable our government to behave the way was designed. I have great faith that will find a way to do that without losing too much of ourselves in the process. I love this country and I hope it survives our learning this terrible lesson.
Music Update
This week’s UJT Radio Program:
• Paul Simon — Something So Right — I was like this song it just somehow made me feel better about being around and listening. Hope you like it too. This one’s from his “there goes rhyme Simon” released in 1973
• The Derek Trucks Band — Soul Serenade [Live]— I always think of these guys as a demonstration of reincarnation. They just have such a soulful sound, and I think they inherited it from their fathers and grandfathers grandmothers and all the other people that lived around the Allman brothers back in the day. This one’s from an album called “Songlines” released in 2006.
• Melissa Etheridge — Come to My Window — this is a great song like most of the songs that I think are great. You can feel the heart beating behind the music you can feel the love and the caring and yes, a little desperation too. This one’s from her, “yes I am” album released in 1983.
• Jethro Tull — Cross-Eyed Marys — Aqualung is one of the nostalgic credible owls ever made. I don’t know if anyone of us realized how fundamentally different in Anderson’s music was at the time. I still have my original copy. I purchased in 1971 when it first came out.
• Van Halen — Jump — if this song doesn’t make your ass shake and you wanna get up on your feet and dance with somebody out to throw some dirt on you cause you’re gonna start smelling real bad.
• Alannah Myles – Black Velvet – This lady hails from Canada an d she snuck on our radar with this song when it hit the single charts in 1989. She’s got an incredible range in great style and a good songwriter. Hope you enjoy her music.
Lady Gaga – material lover – there’s something very special and brave about Lady Gaga. She is so open to new ideas and styles. It’s impressive. I came across this song as a video clip on Facebook and I caught my ear reminded me of Amy Winehouse and Atlanta Miles and every other great female blues person that you can think of she’s just so comfortable in her own skin and able to create such a perfect mood for her music. This from the soundtrack of the devil wears Prada to. I hope you like it.
That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
