Baked Veggies with Mac & Cheese
I may have mentioned that I inadvertently bought several boxes of Walmart cheap ass mac & cheese. Since that moment to this, I’ve tried to figure out ways to turn that crap into something I can eat. I started with Fresh cauliflower and I liked it. It turned out good. It was a little complicated because you have the par boil the cauliflower and all I thought it might be a lot better if I could figure out a dish with frozen vegetables that might work better and it did I hope you like it.
Ingredients:
1/2 of a 12 oz bag each of frozen – broccoli,, cauliflower, peal onions and green & yellow pepper slices
2 boxes of Crappy Mac & Cheese mixes
1/2 tsp of olive oil (spray)
1 cip 3 % milk
1 cup water
1 4 oz stick of unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup cheddar cheese (grated)
Instructions:
- Spray a 9 x 13″ baking pan with olive oil oil spray. preheat oven to 350°.
- Place the macaroni noodles on the bottom of the baking pan
- distribute frozen vegetables over noodles.
- In a separate bowl mixed together the cheese sauce, packages, milk, water, and wish together poor mixture over the top of the vegetables and noodles
- the liquid. Make sure she come about halfway up the side of the baking dish add water if necessary.
- salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle 1/2 the cheddar on top.
- bake it 350 for 25 minutes. Remove from oven stir and free any stuck noodles from the bottom of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remainder of the cheese or the top and return to the oven.
- turn oven on broil and broil till the new cheese is bubbly and starting to brown at the edges.
- removed from the oven and let’s sit for five minutes. Serve hot I don’t know how to do that. Good morning.
