DonerKkebab 

There are many versions of this dish across the Middle East and the rest of the world now. Some column, GYRO some call them Donner kebabs and I’m sure I’m missing 1000 other names for the sandwich. But generally speaking, it’s a mixture of meats, usually lamb, and beef, at least maybe sometimes fork that is mixed with and seasoned, and then either formed on a spit that circulates in a radiant heat or is rolled up in parchment as in this recipe and cooked in the oven in any case it’s very tasty. Ingredients:

Kabob  mixture:

1 lbs lean ground beef

1 lbs ground lamb

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 small red onion, diced

1 cup chopped parsley

1 tbsp cumin

1 tbsp coriander

1 tbsp smoked paprika

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp garlic powder god dammit

Sat and pepper to taste\

1 cup  green peppers of any color, roughly chopped

1 cup, roughly chopped red onion

6 OK loaves of pita bread

Six pieces of lettuce

1 Roma tomato, chopped

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.  Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the meat mixture ingredients until fully combined.
  3. Transfer 1/4 of the meat mixture to a large piece of parchment paper cover with another piece of parchment paper and roll out until meat is approximately 1/4 inch thick remove upper parchment paper and roll lower into a  inch to 1/2 inch roll repeat and tell all the mixture is enrolls on the cookie sheet.
  4. Chop roughly cut onions and green peppers season and drizzle over them around the rolls on the cookie sheet
  5. Make tTzatzikSauce i according to recipe set aside. Chop tomatoes and lay lettuce on pita bread Lowe’s.
  6. When meat mixture has cook cooked and the green peppers and onions are soft on the sheep pan. Remove meat mixture from parchment paper rolls and lay in pan chopped into bite-size pieces. Return sheet pan two oven and increase heat to broil arch carefully till the meat and vegetables get a light charting and remove and set aside.
  7. Assemble Donner kebabs by laying a layer tzatziki on top of your lettuce on the pita bun, adding the meat and roasted vegetables and tomatoes in folding the pita bowl and bread into a cone like shape serve hot repeat until all the gloves are made eaten.
