“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,230 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • A big shout out to the California DMV! I have visited DMV all over this nation and even in Europe and never has there been a VV that lean so forward to help its customers. These guys seems to be the only guys that realize that everyone’s gotta be there because they gotta be there and they do everything they can to make it less dreary and more inclusive.
    • With the loss of our beautiful Koi, we made the decision to go back and start over with nine little guys. These boys are all pretty different colors and different configurations and everything but they’re only 3 inches long but it’s good to have him swimming around in our pond again to celebrate their arrival. We bought a beautiful water lily that’s blooming so pretty and smell so nice.
    • We’re getting ready for a new set of challenges this week. Just guys agreed to housesitting dog sit for some people so we will not have our normal support system. It will be up to Tippy and I behave ourselves and clean up after ourselves and generally be better people than we normally are. We don’t wanna leave our house to be a big mess for her to clean up when she comes home, keep your fingers crossed.
    • You can find out all about today’s history  here.

This week’s Website Update:

    • No new recipes again this week
    • This week’s quote is from Ron Friedman: “A mistake is often the tuition you pay for wisdom.” .

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

      • No progress sense visits

Late breaking news

      • With the firing of Jimmy Kimmel after Colbert, we are watching the cloak of fascist censorship being pulled over the American public. Is there anything you can do about it?

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • I just picked up the phone this morning and called an old friend on the other side of the country. We both have been having our health challenges and coping with them the best way we can. It was good to hear his voice once you’ve had a friend for as long as we’ve been fr almost like talking into a mirror. There’s so many things you share that all the stories have a reference for each of you. Even when we aren’t talking about anything of any significance, it comes out. It’s a beautiful thing that I will cherish all of my life. Do you have a friend you haven’t called recently pick up the phone.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

We are continuing with the artist whose names begin with the letter “A”.

  • Alt-J — U&MEy — There’s no recollection in my mind at all of how I came to find out about these people. It’s been a while, but I really like to hear their sound. I hope you do too, This is one is  from their album” The Dream” released in 2021.
  • Ambrosia  —Biggest Part of Me David pack and the boys release this one as a single first in 1980. It was later released on their album, “180” it’s a great tune and one of many to come.
  • America  — Horse With No Name — Un able able to get much traction in recording in the US these three fellas went to London and got picked up by a recording contract and release this huge hit in 1971. No one mind that the lyrics didn’t make any sense. They just like the catchy tune, and the harmonies.
  • Andy Davis    Let the Woman  I I think that you either get Andy Davis or you don’t I think he’s a great musician and he writes great songs. This is the title cut from his 2007 release I like it a lot.
  • The Animals —T he House of the Rising Sun — This is another one of those anthem songs I’ve mentioned in the past as a single in 1964 it took over the airways for a long time.
  • Aretha Franklin — Respect — I can no longer remember when I heard Aretha Franklin for the first time. She’s a forced to reckon with, and she took over the a.m. airways for what seemed like forever. This is probably her signature song. Release in 1967 as a single and was featured on blues Brothers and a bunch of other radio on TV things.
  • Arlo Guthrie — Alice’s Restaurant Massacree — In in those lazy day hay and  sometimes downright foggy days of the fall of 1967 we would find ourselves all bundled up in our sweaters around the campfire or in our apartments singing along to Alice’s restaurant. If you never done that, I recommend it highly it’s a great way to be friendly.
  • Asia  — Only Time Will Tell  By 1982 in this record came out our taste has become much more sophisticated then Alice’s Restaurant – these guys were incredible! This was a huge hit off there first album.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
