“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  I have decided that the UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,059 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • My grumpy old guy persona was greatly enhanced today. I cut off my hair and now have a Marine – style haircut. I will not be pestered by that hunk of hair that kept falling into my eyes, making it difficult to see a little bit. I can see. It feels cooler too.
    • We have family visiting this week and we’re having a ball over eating and eating too much goodies like ice cream and such we’ll have to star through the summer to get back to her fighting weight
    • It’s funny how old friends take on some of the same habits I guess. We got a letter from a old friend of ours this week and one of the things they mentioned is they don’t watch the news anymore. The only news I get is what ricochet’s off like Facebook or something. The news was bad before I can’t imagine it’s gonna be anything worse these days. I hope I’m wrong.
    • You can find out all about today’s history here.

This week’s Website Update:

    • I just fixed some typographical errors in the Cauliflower Mac & Cheese recipe.
    • The Home Page quote this week is from senator Senator Cory Booker: “This is not a left or right moment. This is a right and wrong moment.  which I think pretty much covers it

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • Howdy high procrastinate some more of my Stained Glass project.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • This week has been horrendous. I am not sure what the Trump supporters thought would happen but wiping out their 401Ks and creating widespread chaos and mayhem probably weren’t high on their list. I don’t watch or listen to any news programs but somehow damage reports make their way into my awareness. I understand that in spite of federal prohibitions against protesting on campus, demonstrations are taking place all over the country. Unless something happens to mitigate the the financial situation for many Americans, I am afraid we will see at least partial marshal law by suer time. I hope I am wrong!

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

This  week we will   begin our journey through the letter, “J”. I realized that many of my favorite musicians have names that begin with J. I hope you enjoy this trip.

  • James Taylor  Millworker   I have always Loved JT’s music this song has always resonated with me the sad desperation in her story. For me it’s almost impossible to pick out a sub of James’s music. Choosing is so hard. The following songs are not his most popular or commercial successes but they do mean the most to me. I hope you enjoy them too. This songs from his 1979 release, “flag”.
  • James Taylor —  Line ‘Em IP  I always feel nostalgic listening to James sing this one.  This is a great song from his, “hourglass”  album released in 1997.
  • James Taylor —  walking Man    here’s another great reason to be searching for Jack Johnson music this one is the title cutfrom his, album released in 1974.
  • James Taylor    Shower The People —  I I started liking Jackson Browne even before I heard him play. He wrote some songs for some of my favorite bands. This one is from his album., “In the Pocket” released in 1976. It was a big hit.
  • Jamie Callum    All at Sea    this was the first song that I heard by Jamie. I remember it was beautiful in San Diego and I was walking 5 miles a day pretty much every day on Mission Bay. My daughter told me about Jamie and I fell in love right away. This one is from his.“Twentysomething.”  released in 2003.
  • Janis Ian — watercolors —   just didn’t have a lot of hits, but she had a lot to say I really enjoyed her song. This song comes from his, “between the Lines” released in 1975.
  • Big Brother and the holding Company —  Piece of My Heart — From th Vinyl!!!! Janis joplin lived too much, too hard, too fast but not long enough. This  song. is from “Cheap Thrills” album released in 1068.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
