“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,118 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • Getting your replacement birth certificate from the state of Michigan is a task not meant for sissies. First off they use a vendor called vital check, and that vendor doesn’t necessarily understand all the ways you can get birth from Michigan evidently not all the Michigan counties. keep all the birth records so the only way to be sure you’re gonna get your birth certificate by ordering it by the state but they don’t tell you that when you order your record so they cancel it when they can’t find it in that county, anyway six weeks into this thing and I need to get my birth certificate so I can get my real ID. And so it goes. Period.
    • Late spring in Hurley summer prime birthday time in our family. We have a lot of Geminis! This week we are celebrating Tippy’s 29th birthday. We had a nice dinner.  We went full tilt, Cuban! Ropa, Vieja, black beans and rice and Maduros – YUM!
    • Our protests this week was relatively peaceful no MAGA yahoos showed up to demonstrate their ignorance and prejudice.
    • You can find out all about today’s history here

This week’s Website Update:

    • This week I’ve only created one recipe that I think is ready for prime time. It’s a breakfast casserole jam-packed with carcinogens and cholesterol perfect for an old guy breakfast or dinner.  I just love breakfast for dinner sometimes.
    • The Home Page quote this week is from Mark Twain: “The government is merely a servant―merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.e”.

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • I appear to be perfecting the art of Procrastination

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • If I had an access to a main frame computer and the availability of my eyesight, I would develop a system for tracking all of the piss poor policies being spewed by the Trump administration. The problem is, he makes these announcements and announcements broadly and loudly and then he resends them where the courts do for him so you never really quite sure what policies in a play in any given moment. I think I would call it the, “ Trump Bullshit & Bogus Policy Tracking (TB&BP)” system. We should get a website set up that provides tracking information in multiple languages 7 x 24. The good news is that so far he’s lost almost all credibility with the financial markets so what he says and does is viewed as personal  instability as opposed to financial market failure.  So far causing only periodic damage instead of collapse and catastrophe.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

This week let’s get started with the “Ns”.

  • Natalie Merchant — Carnival  I enjoy this lady’s music for sometime now she was a special spot in my heart. There’s something compelling about her songwriting and singing. This one’s from her , “Tigerlily” released in 1995.
  • Natasha Bedingfield  Unwritten This is always been a very special song for me, long before I ever heard of Taylor Swift. But now that’s who I think of when I hear this song cause she took this lady’s advice and ran with it. It’s fun to be on a planet with such talented, beautiful women. This the title cut from her 2004 release.
  • Neil Diamond  — Solitary Man — Many if not most of my friends saw Neil Diamond is just some sort of commercial hack. But I always thought he was a great performer and songwriter. He released this song in 1966 as a single.
  • New Riders of the Purple Sage  — Panama Red — This song may made us all smile. In 1973 when it was released, there was a high-end marijuana product called Panama red. It was the beginning of the days when the pot on the Mark on the street was so intense and debilitating. This is about when I learned about “Thai stick” and bongs! For me one hit and I was in the ditch till Tuesday. This is actually the beginning of my withdrawal from marijuana is recreational activity. “The Adventures of Panama Red” was released in 1973.
  • New Riders of the Purple Sage    — Henry —The story goes that NRP S was essentially a jam band that was made up of the grateful part of the Grateful Dead entourage. They would play doing soundtracks before the Grateful Dead concerts. Or at least that’s the legend Jerry Garcia was played with them on their first on this their first album released in 1971. NRPS where Stuble on our record player in those years.
  • Nickel Creek — hen You Come Back Dow — This group didn’t stay together too long, but I really liked their sound. I got to see them once. Their harmonies were wonderful as well as their instrumentation. This song is from self titled first released in 2000.
  • Nickelback —someday  I don’t remember when I first heard about Nickelback, but I do remember that I liked everything I heard from them from that moment forward This song is from their album, “The Long Road” released in 2003.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
