“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,160 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • COVID made a return trip through San Diego and got Jessica sick. Just as we are wrapping up for Chloe’s visit and we have a long laundry list of things to do before she gets here. Jessica came down with a bug. She got some meds and is trying to recover quickly, but it looks like grant the pushback Chloe’s visit for a week maybe. Just keep an eye fingers crossed it know that no one else gets it.
    • 52 years is a long time!  In 1973 the average mortgage payment in the United States was $192. a first class stamp for a letter in 1973 cost eight cents to mail. a gallon of regular gas cost $.39. as a gift this year we put together a glove with little dot showing all the places we’ve lived and visited in our time together. We’ve lived 24 notable places since we got together. (probably several unknowable ones as well).  my feeble memory captured 41 different places we visited as a family throughout the world. It’s been a long strange trip! Many things have changed but over those years. The one constant has been my love for each other. Happy anniversary, Tippy!
    • not all all sides are equal. Our pond is currently I love the shade of Shamrock green and we can’t seem to shake it. It doesn’t hurt the fish. It just looks like crap. Keep your fingers crossed
    • You can find out all about today’s history  here.

This week’s Website Update:

    • I didn’t have any new recipes this week this week.
    • This week’s front page quote is from Kahlil Gibran: “We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • I know I said I would start my Stainglass project back up this week, but I really mean it this week really really!

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • I’m not sure if getting older means getting wiser. Maybe not being sure as a token of my old age wisdom. I do know that I have had a blast everywhere except South America and Africa and Antarctica. I wish I could’ve gotten to those places too, but I’m afraid my traveling days might be over. But doing the globe for the anniversary present was exciting in the sense that I got to relive those moments we visited places or lived in places that we had no business going to. I have to say it’s been a privilege and a pleasure to have done it with the people I’ve known in the people I’ve loved. I have said for many many years that I am indeed a very lucky man and every day I get up and write my gratitude journal, reminding myself just how fortunate I have been.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

This week let’s continue with the artists under the “S” category.

  • Stephen Stills  — And So Begins The Task — I I have loved Steven stills music since the Buffalo Springfield days. I’ve seen him several times – with Crosby and Nash’ and Young in on his own with just a guitar and then a magnificent voice. This one comes from a band he put together for I think just one or two albums Manassas and they were a great band. They released their first album in 1972.
  • Stephen Stills  — Season of the Witch — This is it cut from a great record called the super sessions with Harvey Brooks Al Kooper and Stephen Stills. Steven shut up on the album quite by accident because Mike Bloomfield didn’t show up for the first day of recording. This record was released in 1968.
  • S Stephen StillsJohnny’s Garden From the vinyl!!! This has been one of my favorite Stephen Stills songs since I first heard it in 1972 when it was released. It wasn’t until 2006. I found out the story behind it. It was about this time of year and we were celebrating our 40th anniversary. I think maybe and we saw Stephen Stills playing solo at the.
  • Stephen Stills —Black Queen — I never heard this song before my friend randy put together a mixtape CD for me around 2007. I got to hear him sing it and San Diego some years later, but it was this first time was really something for me what’s even crazier about it is I got the album it was on, “Stephen Stills” that was released in 1970 while I was in the Navy. I got my copy in somewhere around 2009 life is strange.
  • Stephen Stills  — Tree-Top Flyer — This is a another refugee from randy mixtape that I fell in love with the first time I heard it. To my knowledge, Stephen still never flew helicopters in Vietnam no planes, but he seemed to capture the spirit of the thing. The song came out on his, “just roll tape” album released in 1991.
  • Stepppenwolf  —Born to be Wild  t this is another one of those anthem songs I keep mentioning. I think every radio in America went full volume whenever this song came on. This song was. released as a single in 1968.
  • Stepppenwolf  — Earschplittenloudenboomer —This song was from their,, “Steppenwolf Seven” released in 1970. Contrary to the title it’s actually a kind of a well produced jaunty little instrumental that I really like.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
