“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,174 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • Chloe arrived as scheduled finally. It was great seeing her again. She seems like she gets taller prettier and smarter each time. I see her. We celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary with her and the other grandkids except for Asa who couldn’t make it. The first week of August spring is Sharon to be sister and our son Sean for a visit. I can’t remember the last time Sharon and Sean were in the same place together. It’s always great to see both of them.
    • We put Chloe back on the plane this week. Everyone was sad this year Go she left a little bit brighter than when she came in that she learned how to play cribbage. As the Jessica and BJ. Tippy and I had fun playing cribbage again after so long.
    • You can find out all about today’s history  here.

This week’s Website Update:

    • As you might imagine this weeks website updates were very limited. I will find is the updated music.
    • This week’s front page quote is from Charlotte’s Web: “” ”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

    • Chloe and I were going to taxi staying Glass together while she was here, but there was always something else going on so we didn’t do it.

Late breaking news

      • N the celebration for 19 years playing poker together is set for August 4 at the cigar store where we all started, “Excalibur cigar and scotch bar”. It has been quite a while since we’ve gotten together with Covid and all that people moving so I’m really looking forward to seeing everybody again.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • Between the visit from Covid and the other activities associated with Chloe’s visit, Jessica and I pretty much stopped going to the gym. The weird part is I really do miss it and cannot wait to get back into doing something. I really did never ever want to do. How strange that!

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

This week let’s continue with the artists under the “S” category.

  • Stevie Nicks  — Stop Dragging My Heart Around — This song features two of my favorite songwriters and two of my favorite performers. I forget the details of the story, but Stevie contacted tom Petty to help her with something on her new soul album and he came over and they worked it out all this and it was an instant for both of them just a great s song. This version is from her album, “belladonna” released in 1980.
  • Stevie Nicks — Edge Of Seventeen — This is another cut from the same album and it was a huge hit for her.
  • Stevie Nicks  — Leather and Lace Thus this is the last song from this record, but there are many more that are very good. Don Henley helped Stevie yacht playing and singing the male part of the song. It was a huge shit for them. It was originally written for Waylon Jennings and Jesse Coulter, but this version blew everyone away. This song first appeared on their album, “step” released in 1989 on epic records.
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan  — Riviera Paradise  Stevie had other songs that people associate him with. Hard rocking songs! But I always thought of Stevie a jazz player. This song is just soulful. They released the best of album by double trouble in 2002 is filled with great music.
  • Stevie Wonder — Boogie on Reggae Woman — Steve Wi Der won my heart when he was 13 and released, “Fingertips” as a single under Motown . This song was released in 1974 on Stevie’s, “Fulfillingness’ First Finale”. It’s a great song of a great album.
  • Stevie Wonder  — He’s Misstra Know-It-All — This song is a deep cut from another great album by release the year earlier in 1973, “Innervisions” was just a magnificent record..
  • Stevie Wonder — As —This this song is one of my favorite love songs of all time! I don’t know about everybody else, but Srevie’s musical transmission in the 1070s, his music meat so much more. This album, “Songs In the Key of Life” came out in 1976. I’m not sure how many people realize how many of the instruments on Stevie’s records he played himself.
  • Sting  — Fragile (Live In Berlin) —This song was Sting’s donation to the compilation, “songs for Japan” that was released in 1998 in support of the recovery of Japan from the tsunami and earthquake. It’s one of my favorite songs by Sting. I have many favorite songs when I sing.
  • Styx  — Come Sail Away (Edit) —This seems a fitting song to end up the “S’s” with. These boys just came out and kicked our butts and that just kind of sailed away. Released in 1977 on their, “grand illusion” album. I think I went through three copies this record it kept getting scratched.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
