“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,256 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • We or enjoying a rare San Diego rain storm that has every possibility of stretching more than 10 minutes. I love the rain. I always have my favorite cities that I’ve been spending time in are London, Paris, Norfolk, Virginia, and Miami, Florida all known for excellent rain days.
    • This week I met with my orthopedic surgeon. It’s weird having a common calm conversation with a man is going to cut your leg off, but I learned a lot, and I enjoyed our conversation and I feel very confident that he will do a great job.
    • I’m losing weight. I’m dangerously close to hitting one of my longer standing goals. It’s not been a joyful comfortable time for me. The medication I take for tends to make me very nauseous and worse it sometimes but it may be settling down. It’s just hard to tell. I’m told it does after a while. I can tell that I’ve lost some weight. My sweatpants keep trying to fall off my ass and my T-shirt that stretches much but I’m not the spell creature. I hope to be someday.
    • I’m told it does after a while. I can tell that I’ve lost some weight. My sweatpants keep trying to fall off my ass and my T-shirt that stretches much but I’m not the svelte creature. I hope to be someday.

This week’s Website Update:

    • Made a new recipe this week-, but it’s not ready for prime time. You did it,
    • This week’s quote is from Stephen King (a.k.a. Ralph in Insomnia),: “Old age is like a bad dessert at the end of a very  fine meal.”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

      • Still no progress on these stained glass project. The bonsai corn plant trees are both doing well as are the waters in the pond.

Late breaking news:

      • The nastiness in Washington DC has washed up on the shores of the UK. There’s a massive anti-immigrant March today in London.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

Every time, I think we get to that point where, “they’ll never get away with that” comes to mine at the end of a news broadcast or something. As the new sink in and the certainty that this last to trust me will be allowed like all the others to proceeded it, darkens my thoughts, and tries to attack my hopes and dreams. We must be very vigilant to keep positive, healthy and progressive, thinking about us like a cloak to protect us from the damp greed that is sealing through every fiber of our society. Steep yourself in the music in the art and the poetry available to you and let it fend off the evil.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

We are finishing  with the artists whose names begin with the letter “H”.

  • Jethro Tull — Aqualung — Thus iconic song is the title cut from one of the very best rock ‘n’ roll records of the 70s. Released in March 1971 every song on this record was a masterpiece in its own, right.
  • Led Zeppelin—Black Dog  Another great tune from 1971. This is from the first Led Zeppelin album and it just blew everybody away.
  • James Taylor  — Secret O’ Life — One the hardest task that I can imagine would be trying to pick out my favorite James Taylor song. He sang so many songs that integrated into my soul picking a favorite would be like picking my favorite child. This one comes to us from 1977 on his album simply titled JT I hope you like it as much as I do.
  • Taylor Swift    Getting Back Together  I think that Taylor Swift is one of our most talented women of our time. Her insistence on quality work ethic and kindness make what she does unique in the world of our time. She’s the Warren buffet of the music industry. I’m not sure everyone heard it, but Warren Buffett gave $6 billion to help with world hunger. Taylor has done a lot of really kind things too without much fanfare.
  • Jimmy Buffett  —Something So Feminine About a Mandolin — There are a a few songs that diverge from Jimmy’s party Hardy persona like Biloxi. He went to Paris and this one. This came to us in 1976 on his Havana daydreaming record. It’s a deep cut not many people pay many much attention to it till the shirt again in 2020 on his songs you don’t know by heart alb.
  • Tab Benoit — Sunrise — This song will take you back to the Bayou if you ever spend any time there out in that special part of the United States, where the ground soggy in the humidity is just a little bit dry and you can’t decide whether it’s the alligators or the mosquitoes that get your first. My taste buds tangle is into this song thinking about the gumbo and joe I enjoyed hot Smoky nights in a Bayou dive or just not like anything you’ve ever had in your life. This one comes from his album entitled Medicine, release in 2011.
  • Billy Joel —  An Innocent Man — I think of this is one of the best pieces of music that came out of the 80s. The title cut from his 1983 release.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
