November 22nd,, 2025
“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine. The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities. It has been 2,263 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.
This week, I learned some stuff:

- I Think a good day starts by laughing at yourself. This week I had the opportunity to drop my dental floss container on the floor. I always have sleep after I first woke up, but still managed to politely apologize to the container for dropping it. That’s when the laughing started.
- Had a lot of meetings about my upcoming knee surgery this week. It appears to be fairly eminent and will require a great deal of prep and follow up after the deed is done. I met my doctor and I met the anesthesiology team and I feel very confident that everybody’s gonna do the best they can take care of me and that I’ll come out of it. OK I’m very aware that it will not be painless. No recovery be quick but at the end, I should be able to continue doing some of the things. I really miss doing. Keep your fingers crossed.
- Our pond outback is developed. Delete that so far is fire detection. We had a quite a bit of rain this week so I haven’t had to get another mortgage to pay my water bill but I better find it quick. The water company just notified me the rates are going up again.
- Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. The turkey is almost non-negotiable and being a turkey person that’s a good idea. But I love the whole idea of sitting down and being thankful with the people you love for the things you love for the life you love I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

- Still no progress on these stained glass project. The bonsai corn plant trees are both doing well as are the waters in the pond.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:
I don’t really understand what any of us expected to be different when we voted the last presidential election. There’s reasons we try to prevent people with felony convictions from holding my office. There’s reasons we try to elect ethically bound individuals with principles. There’s reasons to avoid many of the things we are experiencing today in our government. Those reasons don’t change because we’re disappointed with one political party or another. It always has to come down to the individual. Political parties from their very inception and intent, distorted information to influence anyway they can. The most corrupting thing in our society is money. We are experience a problem with the money being concentrated far too much in a very small population in the needs of the larger population are not paramont in the prosecution of the offices those and power control. It shouldn’t be this way, but it is I hope that we can peacefully transition from the horror that we developed at this point to more empathetic and caring future.

- Jesse Welles — Join ICE — Thus is one busy boy! He’s following Ben footsteps that are deep and wide. He reminds me of Bob Dylan back in the day, but also Woody Guthrie and Kris Kristofferson and number of other ghosts from the past of our protest days.. this one is well titled it’s from his No Kings album released in 2025
- Jesse Welles — War Isn’t Murder — Last one for this week. This is a single from 2024. They could speak for itself as well.
- Smash Mouth – Walkin’ on the Sun – Something about this tune always caught me. I just enjoyed it from the first moment I heard it. I hope you like it too. It’s catchy! This one is from their Fush You Mang album released in 1997.
- Seal — Don’t Cry — I always flashback to driving the Audubon in Germany on snowy days when I hear seals sing this song this is from his self titled album released in 1994 and remains one of my favorites.
- The Beatles — Get Back — There there aren’t any bands compared to the beep Beatles in terms of their impact on music. There are lots that came to do very very well and are very very close to his impactful, but I don’t think anyone in good conscience can say that even grades like the beach, boys are the cream or any of the great bands, bli as impactful as they were I don’t think they touched the fundamental difference between music before the Beatles and after. This is a great song off there. Let it be album from 1970..
- Nickel Creek — Smoothie Song — This song will not impress all. But I’ve always liked it. These guys went around long, but they did good work when they were. This is from their self title album relieved in 2002.
