December 8th,  2025

“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,277 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • We spent this week getting ready for my surgery next Tuesday. It was kind of challenging because we were doing also the boycott of all the big corporations, but we had loaded in food before hand and only required some basics that we went to a local Latin American grocery store for. And somehow we managed to live without Amazon target Walmart and Starbucks for a week. I hope they heard the message.
    • Next week’s UJT update depends on several things; One is how bad the surgery leaves me; Two is how good the medications are and; Three is my ability to focus and complete tasks by next Friday or Saturday. If I can, I will, and if I can’t, you’ll understand. No.
    • You can find out all about today’s history  here.

This week’s Website Update:

    • No new recipes this week
    • This week’s quote is from max Eastman: “Dogs laugh, but they do it with their tails.”

Bonsai Tree and   Stained Glass, Update:

      • Still no progress on these stained glass project. The bonsai corn plant trees are both doing well as are the waters in the pond.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

Things go wrong. Most of us live our lives, trying to avoid things that can go wrong. But sometimes circumstances, cause you to step out on that ledge and put yourself in a situation where you have no control on how things go. I’m on one of those legends with his surgery. I try to live my life openly and honestly and expressively. I really can’t think of anything worse and leaving things unsaid between people you care about so if things go wrong, I’m OK the people I love know they love that I love them and I’ve done my best to show them. So keep your fingers crossed stay tuned for our next adventure.

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

  • Cat Stevens— Hardheaded Woman — Thus is a favorite of mine, but it’s one of many I have with Cat Stevens. This is from his, “tea for the Tillerman” album released in 1970.
  • Bruce Springsteen — Spirit in the Night— This song is from his first album, “greetings Ashbury Park New Jersey”. It was 1973. I had grown up a lot in the navy and discovered Bruce won fine autumn day. I’m very grateful for that day. I understand Bruce has been diagnosed with cancer. I wish him well and I’m very grateful for everything he gave us so far.
  • Bruce Springsteen. – Human Touch – well another one of my favorites by Bruce! This is from the songs for Japan album 2011.
  • Bruce Cockburn—  After the Rain  this is a very deep cut from Bruce’s album released in 2009, “Dancing In the Dragon’s Jaws (Deluxe Edition)”.
  • Brian Adams  — Summer of 69  This song has a favorite of mine from the first time I heard it and it seems with every year that passes. It takes on more important in my life. From his 1983 release, “reckless”.
  • Jimmy Buffett — Oceans of Time  Like so many other songs by Jimmy, this one’s sings a song I’ve held in my heart, but didn’t know was there. It’s a good song to listen closely to oh. This was a hit from his 2020 release, “Life on the Flip Side”.

,That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
