“ Dobroho ranku”, or “Good Morning!” in Ukrainian, is an Eastern Slavic language spoken mainly in Ukraine.  The UJT will remain focused on Ukraine until we can all rejoice at the end of hostilities.  It has been  2,237 days since Russia invaded Ukraine.

This week, I learned some stuff:

    • This we marked the starting of Rosjh Hashanah or the Jewish new year so “Happy New Year!”
    • Jessica is back from her dog sitting assignment. Murphy and the cats and us old folks are all happy to have her home.
    • Recent changes to my medication have left me less than enthusiastic about my days. It takes some time to adjust to the changes, but that time is not necessarily a very pleasant time – lots of nausea, etc. put this too shall pass.
    • You can find out all about today’s history  here.

Weird-Stuff-O-Meter:

    • I am grateful for the Jimmy Kimmel firing and rehiring. It demonstrates the fundamental power of the people in protecting their First Amendment rights. If you stifle first amendment rights, we will withdraw our money from your business endeavors, and you will suffer. That was a fairly clear message in the past few weeks. I hope we can sustain the discipline it takes to save our – 7democracy

This week’s UJT Radio Program:

We are beginning with the artists whose names begin with the letter “H”.

  • The Halibuts — Hula Scuba One of my poker buddies the last 13 or 14 years was in this band he was I think the keyboardist but they cut a couple of records and they were in the old southern California surf band genre and I think they did pretty good and I like the music they made This my cut is from, “Life On The Bottom” released in 1966.
  • Hank Williams —  I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry When I was in fifth grade at Coral Gables Elementary school. We had this history teacher named Mr. Alan and every teacher got a free period once a day Mr. Allyn like to spend his walking up and down the cavernous halls, singing and Hank Williams songs this one was the favorite is. And to his Credit he really did sound like an Williams. This is releases a single in 1949.
  • Harry Chapin  — Taxi  I I love this song from the first moment I heard it. It’s such a sad, tragic song about the passage time and how these track of people really put the touch on it to make you feel it.m Harry release this on his 1972 album” heads and tails”
  • Harry Nilsson —Coconut— This happy little tune, kinda took us all by a surprise I think. Harry could do that he could surprise us almost every time. Hair released coconut in 1971 on his, “Nilsson Schmilsson” album.
  • Henry Paul Band — So Long — This is a great song that I have no idea how I heard about. It’s really well done and I hope you enjoy it too.. it’s from their 1979 release, “Grey Ghost”.
  • Herman’s Hermits — Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter — This is the sweet little song that I have recall from my Tender years. I remember seeing this walking home from a date or dance for a party in the alleys on my way home. I’m not sure what the neighbor saw, but I loved it. I think it was released as a single in 1965.
  • Hiss Golden Messenger  — Lucia — This one is another mystery guest in that I have no idea how I found out about this song or this group they’re really really good but I don’t know much about him. This is a cut off their 2014 release,”Lateness of Dancers”.
  • The Hollies — Bus Stop  this is another one of those songs I’d sing on my way home from a party or dance. A catchy tune that I just couldn’t get out of my head a lot of nights. It was released as a single in 1966.

That’s it… Do the best you can; Laugh every chance you get; Always remember… The best is yet to come! As always, thank you for being my friend!
